The Times They Are A-Changin’

For a while, I was concerned about the effect that the talk radio assholes would have on the direction of domestic policy, specifically in regards to health care reform. Rational people on the left, like myself, had been quiet for far too long, allowing the fringe right to make all the noise.

But I think we finally woke up this week. The White House decided to re-evaluate its delusional ambition for bipartisanship (though I hope they don’t cave on the public option). And you’ve probably seen the following Facebook status going around:

No one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick. If you agree, please post this as your status for the rest of the day.

Remember, there are more of us than there are of them. So keep posting, tweeting, sharing links, updating your statuses, etc. If we can be as active as we were during the election, health care reform will become a reality.

Update: Look what happens when people talk about things rationally.
